Morena tapped her nail at the silver of her holder, ready to
deny the request. The young woman made her case, but a simple curiosity was not
a reason enough to let someone in the labs. It wasn’t until Lottie mentioned
the possibility of further interest in recreating that Morena reconsidered. “I
can respect ambition.” A cook, already loyal to the family, with ambition –
those were not qualities that often resided in the same person. She opened her
purse, to pull a pen Morena wrote an address and a date with a set hour. “I’ll
have one of my boys pick you from here. Be prepared, if you fail to acquire
yourself a second invitation I can not help. ”
Lottie stood, barely breathing as she had finished her piece and waiting for the verdict. She wouldn’t get another chance like this she knew so if she blew it then she was really stuck. “Thank you Miss,” she said trying to keep her voice even. A small smile crept over her lips as the domme began to write and Lottie quickly put the piece of paper safe in her purse. It didn’t matter what she was doing she needed to make that meeting. “Yes Miss, I understand. Thank you.” With that she quickly excused herself happy that at least something had gone right for her.
“A clever girl,” Morena observed, a little amused by the answer she received and how well argument it was. “I imagine you spent the majority of your time in labs one way or another. What’s so interesting about this one?”
Lottie nodded at the observation before sighing, “The labs I spend my day in are boring and full of contrived experiments designed to teach us constantly. I want to see a real life working lab. A routine, run of the mill factory style one is boring too, I want something that actually does something meaningful that, well who knows? Maybe something I could even recreate at some point down the line.”
Morena listened patiently, rolling the end of her cigarette
against the ashtray, only the heel of her foot clicked impatiently against the
floor.
“That’s quite the request.” She pointed out, “If I ask how
often you go to classes, what sort of an answer would I get?”
Lottie gave a light shrug, keeping up manners was hard work after all, “If you don’t ask and all that jazz.” A wide smile spread over her face at the question, “I go to all my classes. Lord Oz would soon be on my case if I didn’t. I’m on top of all my coursework and I’ve done my homework for tomorrow.” Of course there was no need to mention the bit of bother she’d got into for leaving early at the summer, she had sorted it all out after all.
Morena remained quiet, leaning closer to touch the tip to
the flame. She hummed curious, blowing out a thin strip of smoke.
“I am not hard to find.” She shifted back into her seat to take another deep drag from her cigarette. “Good as can be. Though I think it’s not my wellbeing you are interested in.”
Lottie pouted slightly as the woman called her out though it wasn’t a surprise. She took a step back and looked up at the dark haired beauty, pushing her hair back from her face as she did. “It wasn’t my main motivation will admit,” she smirked. “I’m looking for a little help from you. I have a project to do for one of my chemistry classes and I’m rather sick of the sterile university labs. I wanted to see a real, working lab in operation and I’m quite sure there must be someone in the family who could help me. I thought you might be able to point me in the right direction.” She fell silent leaving it up to the domme to interpret what she was really looking for.
Morena watched the second split change in the girl when their eyes met and smiled. “If you please, cara mia.” She beckoned, placing a fresh cigarette in the holder.
She waited patiently, uncharacteristically quiet while the domme sorted herself and then lifted the lighter up, flicking it as she did. After a pause Lottie took a breath and smiled, “I’ve been hoping to maybe see you around Miss, how have you been?”
With a sigh and the beginning of an eye roll Lottie was about to refuse and then she looked at the woman again, her head beating a little faster as she realised who it was. Reaching into her purse she pulled out her lighter and held it up, “Would you like me to light it for you too?”
