game night [V + L]

Valentine’s brows pulled together watching Charlotte’s hand drift over her companion’s back, he shook his head, smiling. Whatever was said at the end sent the boy scurrying again and at this point, Valentine had to ease back on his chair, eyes closed with a bitten back laugh.

[sms 22:56] Bullshit.

He typed. Looked at the bar, then back at the submissive girl, who only now looked like she was having some semblance of the said fun. As the Commander’s eyes studied Charlotte’s profile, the people she was with, he wondered what would’ve happened if they met in a different time.

[sms 22:57] You know he won’t be much fun.

Her phone quickly showed her the first text from the Commander and she closed her eyes briefly, well aware he was right.  She wanted a fun night but she had little doubt that Lucas would not be the one to deliver.

Her eyes drifted back to the bar and the boy whose only job was to bring her back a straw and that seemed to be a massive trial in itself.  She scoffed as the next text came in and she nodded at her phone.

[sms: 22:58] Maybe not….but he’s not the only option here.

[sms: 22:58] There’s a whole group of possibilities just walked in!

Lottie’s gaze settled on the group of 5 men who had just walked in and as one of them made eye contact with her she found herself smiling at him, leaning forward so she could place her elbows on the raised table she was standing at, her chest automatically more on display.  She glanced over again and saw she was still being watched so she picked up her drink and took a sip, licking her lips slowly as she put the glass back down.  The thought that the Commander was somewhere in the bar and watching her flirt added greatly to her excitement.

Valentine hummed acknowledging her words without saying anything. Brushing his fingers together in an absent gesture his thoughts seemed to evade him, but he knew – deep down, that Charlotte was taken care of. That he’d done right by her and if he’d come here to settle a debt to her then by all means he’d done that.

He should be on his way, making sure that no one saw him in this neighborhood. She wasn’t the only one not really keen on the two of them being seen together. Charlotte was still useful and the name in his jacket pocket stood testament to that – cutting an investigation that would’ve taken months down to days.

The Commander nodded. “Yes,” then he nodded once more, for himself rather than her. “Something comfortable and then a long nap.” He said, easing her gently off his lap to stand up. Valentine walked in the hallway to get his jacket on, turning slightly. “You may not agree, but what you’ve done – that’s a good thing.”

Lottie rose to her feet, her feelings about all that had happened still muddled but very aware she felt better at the same time.  It was a real conflict of interests but it had certainly saved her a lot of effort setting something up, most of which was not very satisfactory, especially when compared to what she had just experienced.

She nodded at the instructions, she had every intention of getting changed and then watching TV in bed for a while until she fell asleep.  Lottie looked away at the reminder of what she had done earlier and the trouble she could get into but strangely she couldn’t regret it given what it had just got her – that and she didn’t get on board with the whole drug scene despite seeing the possibilities.  “Good night then, let’s hope you don’t find the need to see me again,” she said as they reached the door, her attempt at her usual brattiness failing her for the moment.  Probably because she didn’t believe a word she was saying – although she clearly wasn’t telling him that.

“I suppose mixing drinks could be seen as a form of chemistry–a gastronomic version, at least.  Perhaps your expertise in one area has given you an advantage in the other,” she said with a small chuckle, her eyes settling on the glass in her hands.  “A very dangerous drink,” she replied, looking back up before taking another sip.  The small warmth of the alcohol was already spreading throughout her.

“It’s not that dangerous – as long as you are aware.  It’s when you get cocktails with no idea how strong they are….that’s when you either have a really good night, or a really bad night!”  She chuckled though she scrunched her nose up at the thought too.

Looking up, slightly distracted, Val was caught off guard by
her voice, then taken aback by the sight of her. If possible, she looked even
smaller, vulnerable – hugged by the towel, her hair wet and skin damp and rosy
from the time spent in the water. She seemed…well, nothing like the girl
Valentine had boxed her in. She was a Montague, a file on his desk. A name and a
picture and something to exploit. Use against her family if he could. Valentine
had no shame about his methods. He kept those damn kids off the cells and juvie
when he could. Sometimes at the expense of the Watch.

But now, looking at Charlotte the very living and breathing
person – it was hard to go back.

“No,” He answered before thinking better of it. Eyes going
to the tub she was holding. The aftercare crème. Taking it off her hands,
Valentine looked at the label, nodding pleased with it.  Reaching for her, Val’s fingers landed
slightly over the girl’s waist to turn her around. “Just tug this away,”
Meaning the towel, Valentine spread some of the thick cream on his palm, his
eyes going after the skin that was bared to stop at the red splotches of color that
stood stark against Charlotte’s rear. The sight of them shouldn’t have pleased
him this much. Gentle as he could, Val worked the salve on her, minding the
places that were bruised too badly. She’d feel it. For a few days at least, the
Commander thought, letting out a small hum.

Lottie gave a small nod as he took the cream, her stomach flipping as he turned her effortlessly.  Biting her lip at the request she held her breath as she moved the towel aside and his fingers rubbed over her abused skin.  The cold, thick lotion soothed the worst of the pain but she knew she would feel the marks for the next few days and that thought gave her a lot of pleasure.

Dropping one side and lifting the other she stood still as he covered her ass in the cream, trying not to think beyond that moment, beyond those touches.  “Thank you,” she said softly as he finished.  It was a strange feeling, she should be desperate to have him out of her house but at the same time she would very happily have curled up on his lap and just relaxed for a while.  Instead she pulled her towel a little tighter, “I should get dressed now.”

Valentine watched with a small smile he tried and failed to cover as Lottie’s attention went back to the phone the second his message arrived. Much to the boy’s distaste. He failed again to bite back a chuckle, shaking his head.

Whatever the submissive said to the stranger by her side it seemed to have the boy out and off to the bar. A drink, the Commander guessed something on his tab surely. He lowered his gaze towards the table when Charlotte looked around, figuring the cap and his table would keep him mostly out of the spotlight.

His phone buzzed. And it was his turn to smile reading her message.

[sms 22: 46] Just making sure you’re on your best behavior.

He typed, then deleted.

[sms 22: 47] Coincidence.

[sms 22:47] And what is that exactly?

Hitting send Valentine eased back in his chair, curious to see her reaction.

Her phone was still in her hand when the first text came through and she gave a small laugh and shook her head.  Lucas arrived back just as the next text came in but she had long enough to read it before her drink was put down.  By this stage she had no doubt the Commander was in the bar, he knew too much, and Lottie decided to make him wait, playing a little.

She took a drink and leaned over to speak in Lucas’s ear.  Her hand brushed over his back as she spoke about her drink telling him how perfect it was and how kind he had been to bring it.  When he turned and smiled at her she showed him her sweetest smile and asked if he would mind getting her a straw.  Only when he left did she type a quick message.

[sms 22:55] A fun time.

Valentine paused, it was only the jerk of her brows that stirred him out of his thoughts and he was up on his feet, taking the space that led him to the living room in few quick strides. This time a firm furrow creasing the Commander’s brows, as he drank the rest of the cocoa Charlotte had made for him earlier his thoughts strayed often towards the girl. Nothing but empty space and walls separating them. He could hear the occasional slosh of water as she stirred and if his mind supplied him with images of her in there then he chalked it off to his own encroaching need for a  complete scene.  Valentine wasn’t keen on lying to himself, he could admit she was a beautiful little thing, it was easy to see her charms – the sharp tongue and the challenge she carried with her, all things no Dominant could stay partial to. There was no need to make this more than it was. Nothing a visit to the brothel wouldn’t ease off his mind.

Lottie pouted to herself as he did indeed scurry off, leaving her to undress alone.  She climbed into the bath hissing as the warm water hit her red ass but once she got past that part she felt a lot better.  Lying back she shut her eyes but his image kept appearing before her eyes.  He had helped her, she could already feel she felt a  lot better but she couldn’t help imagining how his fingers would have felt against more of her skin, how much she would have liked to beg him for permission and aware that he wasn’t going to give it easily.

Lottie sighed as her fingers moved lower to stroke at her pussy.  Rubbing her clit she could feel that delicious warmth build within her but then it didn’t feel right.  Much as she hated to admit it she couldn’t let herself enjoy the moment with him right next door and still in the process of aftercare.

She pulled herself out of the bath and wrapped a large towel around her body.  Twisting her hair up out of the way she dried herself off, gasping as the towel rubbed over her bruised skin.  He had mentioned the cream but it would be hard to apply herself so she made her way through to the living room with the tub in her hand.  “Do you want me to get dressed first?” she asked, her skin glowing from the warmth of the water.

Kassandra watched as Charlotte’s deft hands made the drink.  It was fascinating to watch the submissive move as though she were in her element.  The request broke her out of her observation mode, and she replied with a smile and nod, moving to gather the things Charlotte requested.  She returned quickly with the glasses with crushed ice and placed them on the table for Charlotte, watching once more as the younger woman filled the glasses with the cocktails.  Raising the glass and clinking it briefly, Kassandra took a sip.  “This is really good,” she said with a breathy chuckle before taking another sip.  It was sweet, but the tang of the orange juice cut into it well for her taste.  “Are you a secret bartender, Charlotte?”

Lottie laughed at the question, “Maybe I missed my calling?  I should focus on mixing drinks and leave all the other bits of chemistry aside.”  She took a drink herself and while it wasn’t as strong as she would have liked it tasted alright.  “If you’re not used to it take it easy though.  It’s got more alcohol in it than you would think.”

Valentine tugged the cap he wore a little lower, fingers going back to the neck of his beer as he watched Charlotte pull out her phone. The girl’s face illuminated by the screen, he could make out the faintest expression on her face as she read through the short message. He’d half expected a scowl, a bratty roll of her eyes promptly followed by her shoving the phone away, so when Charlotte’s fingers danced over the screen he chuckled to himself.

Her companion, however, didn’t seem all too pleased at the loss of her attention. On his table, Val’s phone buzzed and he didn’t rush to text back, eyes darting back to check if Damian was still at the bar. The last thing he needed was to have his friend questioning his constant attention to his phone. Last thing he really needed was to actually reply to the girl’s text. The few beers he’d had didn’t help much.

[sms 22:40] I think what I know proves the opposite actually. You could be. Or you could be in a bar somewhere being far from a little good girl.

[sms 22:41] I’m thinking a sports bar. Ignoring some adolescent looking boy to check your phone.

Shaking his head Valentine tucked his phone away again, finishing the last of his beer.

Her phone went silent and while it seemed a rather random message she assumed that was it and picked up her drink again.  After a few minutes Lucas sidled over to her again and began to talk.  With a fixed smile she nodded a few times and was beginning to wonder whether he was worth putting much effort into.

Her phone vibrated and she pulled it out to look.  Pursing her lips as she saw who it was again she threw a sweet smile to Lucas and held her glass up.  She opened the message, shaking her head at the first one but the second made her mouth drop and she immediately looked around. Lucas was still standing there and Lottie leaned over to whisper loudly in his ear and send him scuttling off to the bar. Once he had gone Lottie began to text.

[sms 22:46] Are you following me?

[sms 22.47] And said boy is a sweetheart who will give me whatever I want.

Biting her lip as she finished pressing send she looked around again though in a fairly busy and dark bar it was hard to spot anyone.

game night [V + L]

commanderalonso‌:

This was nice, Valentine mused, nursing his beer as his eyes drifted over the crowd of people. With Damien gone to get them another round, and the TV switched to another channel while the commercials aired in the halftime of the game, there wasn’t much to do but people watch.

His thoughts miles away when something pulled his attention back to the present. A familiar laugh ringing somewhere at his right, Valentine’s eyes landed on Lottie’s back as the girl spoke with someone on her table.

Valentine smiled, brows high, shaking his head he forced his gaze away – back on the TV, on the blonde at the bar, at Damian who’d struck a conversation with the bartender, though somehow, his attention inevitably drifted back to Lottie.

Lottie who was talking with a man, rather – boy, who had rips on the knees of his jeans that Valentine found to be ridiculous. He tugged his phone, taping away before he thought better of it.

[sms 22:31] Out before Monday? Not very responsible.

@lottieberdini

Lottie was trying to convince herself that she was having a good time but it was proving hard.  The two friends she thought would be out had yet to arrive and while the company was alright it wasn’t what she had expected.  One of the guys kept talking to her and he was sweet but way too young for what she enjoyed.  He had marked himself as a Dominant but she had yet to see any sign of any control from him and while he was clearly looking to see where the night might go she knew she would be way too much for him to handle.  Still he was quite funny and she enjoyed that and it was as he was telling her a very amusing story about a class the previous week that she felt her phone vibrate in her bag.

Giving an apologetic smile she reached in and called up the message.  Her face lit up in a grin as she saw the name ‘Major’ on the screen and as she read the text she gave a laugh of surprise at the unexpected message.

[sms 22.33] I’m very responsible as you well know.  I could be at home studying right now or even about to go to bed like a good little girl!

With a smirk to herself she put her phone back in her purse and took a long drink, a warm glow inside her that made her miss the fact the boy had taken a step away.
