Open to Montagues

dylan-nobody:

Dylan had never been to a family gathering before, much less a feast. It was the first time she’d been in the company of the entire Montague clan – and while it should have felt like she was in enemy territory, especially given her reluctant loyalty to Madam Celeste, it strangely… didn’t. Somehow Dylan was able to compartmentalize her affiliations with both the Montagues and the Romanos.

That didn’t mean it wasn’t the least bit awkward. Dylan still didn’t know how she would be received by the Montagues. Some of them she could call friends, sure… but it was a large family, and she’d already met at least one with whom she didn’t get along. There were bound to be more like that.

Dylan sat to the side, drink in hand, watching the gathering from a safe distance. If she was lucky, she’d learn something about Bianca Navarre.

There were surprisingly few Montagues that Lottie had many dealings with, maybe because she didn’t live in the Tower or maybe just she couldn’t be bothered.  Either way she felt like she should probably make something of an effort and spotting the woman on her own went over and sat down.  “What are you drinking?” she asked.
