When Jim had dashed back inside, he glanced around, trying to see but it had mostly cleared out by that point. When he heard the familiar voice, he shifted towards her. Grabbing hold of her wrist, he tugged her away from the wall. “Move. Now.” He knew his voice was harsh with the command, but the smoke was starting to get to him and he wanted her out now.
Lottie looked blankly for a second but as he grabbed her wrist and yelled at her she finally moved. “Which way?” she yelled, panic making her voice waver and not able to clearly see which way she going. Coughing as she stepped forward and the smoke was starting to make it harder to breathe.
