“What’s only a few days?” Daisy asked. She couldn’t help but overhear and she definitely couldn’t help but instinctively responding. But the Capulet had at least some decency and didn’t try to peek a look at whatever the other girl was reading. “Also I think you’re up next to order,” she giggled.
“What?” Lottie mumbled, looking round for a moment before noticing that indeed it is her turn to order. Doing so she steps to the side to wait on her coffee and soon the other woman is beside her again. “The stupid university are saying because I missed a few days of lab work at the end of last semester I have to submit an extra assignment or resit the year! It was literally like three days and it couldn’t be helped. It’s so dumb.”
